Train The Way You Fight

Hoooaah strike hold! I am GMC (General Master of Combatives) Fred Hermstein the founder of Strike Combatives Psalm 144. I developed an ambush combat system for the modern battlefield to protect Christians from evil. This system is founded on the U.S. Army hand-to-hand combat techniques and tactics and the Korean Army Combatives Tae Kwon Do for war. Combatives incorporates striking, grappling, and ground fighting system of combat beginning in 1980, as a student in Shotokan Kenpo, while in Shotokan Kenpo, I obtained the rank of 3rd degree brown belt and taught lower grades self-defense at all ages. I joined the U.S. Army Paratroopers in 1987 and trained in close range combat, hand-to hand combat and weapons combat, during this time in the 82nd Airborne Division, I added techniques and tactics focused on close range hand-to-hand combat with speed and power. As a U.S. Army Infantry Soldier, I trained with French Commandos in combatives, trained with a Swedish Special Forces Officer in knife fighting, trained in Judo/ground fighting in Germany, and trained in a military style of Tae Kwon Do in Korea which included Judo, Hap Ki Do, and ground fighting. In Korea, I obtained the rank of black belt in the Korean Army style of Tae Kwon Do in 1989, and I achieved the 4th Dan Master in Tae Kwon Do in 2024. Furthermore, I have taught Combatives, Tae Kwon Do, and basic self-defense at two Tae Kwon Do Dojos over the past few years, taught Combatives privately at New Life Community Church in Gardner, KS and taught my grandson basic Combatives. Strike Combatives is designed with a military mind-set in training, rankings, organizational structure, communication, esprit de corps, belts, time in service, and combat development.
